I've seen this happen many times. It can drive some people to insanity! Fortunately, there's an easy fix. What's showing up when you type in a search engine is called AutoComplete. You need to either clear the AutoComplete memory, or turn it off.

First, go to Tools>>Internet Options.

Under the Content tab, you'll se Personal Options. Under that section is AutoComplete! Click the AutoComplete button, and clear Forms. You can also disable AutoComplete from working on certain things. For search engines, you should disable forms.

In whatever search engine you have click inside the white textbox where you typed your search terms and hit the down arrow key to select each individual search term, hit delete. Keep hitting the down arrow and delete until you have deleted them all.

To keep it from doin that in the future go to Tools>Internet Options>Content tap> Click auto complete. Unselect the boxes you want, and clear out what ever you want.

if using internet explorer: on menue bar click tools, internet options, delete cookies, delete files including all offline pages and then clear history. set history to 0 days. then apply. close the internet explorer and re-open. it should go away. if you have a toolbar such as google search or someting similar, there is usually an arrow or drop down menue right next to the search field. open that drop menue and there is an option to clear recent searches

The answer depends on the browser you are using. If you are using firefox then you wan to use firefox preferences/settings and clear private data. For internet explorer you use tools-internet options and use the autoforms information to clear. both of these will clear any fields you have entered into a website
