I think the silliest thing the Americans have done in this war is to prop up Religious Leaders like Ayatollah Sistani[These Ayatollahs are always crooks of the highest nature] and Imam SADR.These rouges are the real controller of Al Maliki Government and you just cannot expect any thing democratic from them. They are more blood thirsty than even deposed Saddam Hussein. The more you stay in Iraq more Americans will lose their life and create more hatred among Iraqi people.I think it is better to leave them alone and let them settle their differences because there is no way Americans can solve this problem even in 20 years.Majority of Arab World is Sunni, there is no way that they will be Friends soon with Shites .These factions have been fighting each other for 1300 Years.Mr.Bush is waisting his time over there.

It already has... note the huge ammo dump explosion last week. It was an inside job done by members of the Iraqi army itself. 70+ % want the US out now so if we truly wanted a democratic Iraq we would allow them to vote us in our out, but we are not there for freedom and democracy, we are there for war profiteering and oil.

The Iraqi government is already cozying up to Iran. Maliki repeatedly disrespects US "suggestions" and claims Coalition troops are moving against the militias without his knowledge. The Shite Muslims already call our troops "occupiers" and "murderers".

What part of this leaves any doubt we've already lost this war? What part of this leads us to believe our troops are anything more than convenient targets for Iraqi militias? How flipping stupid are we?

That part of the world has been in conflict for centuries. The current meddling by the West is simply stoking up the fires of unrest even more.
