i got my tongue pierced on wednesday and most of the swellings went down but the bit of the tongue where it got done is still nipping is this normal

Yes it is. It will take at least a week for the swelling to subside completely! It only takes about a month to heal which is great! But follow the rules! Always use listerine after meals and etc, don't kiss, or do anything sexual while it's healing! A couple people I knew that didn't follow the sanitary rules ended up with nasty infections and had to take them out! It was gross!! So it's normal :)

Thats gonna take a while to heal because its gonna be moving around all the time, like getting a cut on the creast of a finger or your elbow because its bending and breaking up the healing being done. In about a month, it will be ok just keep it disinfected, try gargling with salt water and stuff and you will be fine.

i got my tongue pierced on friday and my tongue has lost its swelling but it still nips.this is because your tongue has muscle structure and it heals from the inside out so it is natural for it to nip.Dont worry about infection the tongue has a natural healing agent called peptide.rinse your mouth out with salted water but not alot of salt.it has done wonders for me xxxx you will be fine trust me :)

Had mine done 10 years ago and never had any problems. Took a week for the swelling to go down and for me to start eating properly again.

Keep sucking ice poles! mine was nipping for about a week but keep up the ice poles and all should be fine!

yeah this is normal, as my sister got it done, its actually swollen for a fews weeks afterwards and still a bit tender!!! but dont worry too much it'll be ok.xxxx

is it natural to put mental through your tongue??? i just stopped my daughter having hers done because of infection issues......and your tongue being so close to your brain.......um.....but im sure u will ok...if your worried go to the doctors init......i hope your tongue doesn't drop off

just a warning
dont roll the peircing on the front of your teeth because it will chip of the enamal and be VERY pianfull

Yes is totally normal.Make sure you are rinsing your mouth out daily with TCP or an antiseptic which is safe to go in your mouth.
:-)....Should be healed/ not sure in around 10 days.
