The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald is by far the best book I can think of set in the 1920s. It is a classic novel but it's not at all boring. It depicts the over the top fashion and wealth of the '20s with vivid detail and also tells a story of Jay Gatsby's desperate desire to win back his married love, Daisy Buchannon.

you need to examine the finished Gatsby, in case you haven't already. that's a classic, and one among my well-liked books. there is even romance, to make you chuffed, and that's easily psychological. i love it!
