If he is into gymnastics then a small trampoline for the garden could be useful (help his balance), or maybe some small weights, dumbells or something to help build his strength. I think any other equipment would be too big, maybe apart from some parallel bars, but they might set you back a bit! Otherwise if he is into reading I recommend the Alex Rider Teenage Spy series, both avid and relectant readers enjoy them, or the new Young Bond series, the first title is Silverfin. Or you could get him some cool boys toys or gadget type things from somewhere like www.firebox.com. Hope that helps...

How about a gift certificate to a gym. Or get him some sweatshirts or a gym bag with a logo that he likes.

well if you can't think of anything get him a gift certificate to meijers or walmart, or you could have your daughter ask him what he's going to ask for, for christmas, that always works with my friends and they are still surprised because if you do it right they won't know your gonna get it for them, say something like so what are your parents getting you for christmas and you might be surprised and he may list what he wants for christmas

If your daughter doesn't have any suggestions, perhaps gift vouchers from a really good sports shop?
