Hi!

Yes, you can, using the NICs. Simply use a reversed UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cable as follows: The cable should be set up as follows:

1.orange/white
2.orange
3.blue/white
4.green
5.green/white
6.blue
7.maroon/white
8.maroon.

Where 1 and 2 are RX (Receive + & -) and 3 and 6 are TX (Transmit + & -).
Now, given the color codes, create the cable as described above, on one end, using the proper connector and, on the other end, reverse RX with TX.
This is mainly how it is to be done.
Remember, RX1 goes to TX2 and TX1 to RX2 where 1 and 2 are the NICs in the computers (1 and 2).

Good luck!

You need to network them using their network adapter. USB is just a prot for connecting diveces. You need a hub ( a 4 prot hub cost letss than $10) or just buy a special cabel called" RJ 45 Cross Over "cable to connect only 2 compters.
