It is my understanding from they few openly gay couples I have seen, that most couples whether gay men or Lesbians consist of a more masculine partner and a more feminine partner. Now this is only anecdotal, but if it holds true to the community, one would assume the feminine half of a lesbian couple would lean more towards the flowers and frills, while her masculine partner is the one in dungarees, flannel, and work boots.
I am by no means an expert on the culture, and apologize now if my observations offend any one.

They wear whatever they want. Some like flowery dresses some like butch outfits. Didn't know it was illegal in Canada!

I wear whatever I feel like, but yes I do wear flowery dresses, and I wear jeans and t-shirts. It just depends on my mood. :)
