i have used e-bay and pay-pal for over 2 years and never had a problem,
however, be aware that some people try to con you via your e-mail addy into thinking that e-bay or pay-pal want you to verify your account by signing in to your account by clicking on a link in the e-mail,, NEVER EVER do this, they dont send e-mails like this, report it as fake and manually go to your account via another window and check it. Never give your password through an e-mail, you will be hacked and stripped of all your money.
As long as you are sensible and think about what you do you shouldn't have a problem.

PayPal on eBay is fine, and I've been using it for two years. I would use it to buy from anybody, even a new seller. Out of hundreds of purchases, I was only once send a bad item which the seller wouldn't discuss. When I told PayPal, they e-mailed him about it, and when he hadn't replied after 10 days, that settled it, they knew he was in the wrong and I was right. I was refunded my purchase price and postage immediately, and I suppose PayPal took it from the seller. If I had paid by cheque instead, there would have been nothing I could do. Three or four other times I have got refunds from the seller because they must have known that if they didn't make good, PayPal would just take the money from them anyway on my say-so.
But KEEP YOUR PAYPAL PASSWORD SECRET, and don't use a dictionary word for it, and make it different from every other password you use.

It is a safe method of payment which most people on e bay accept. To use paypal you have to register either a credit card or your bank account details. You get billed once a month where you will then be debited for the amount you have spent etc. You can alternatively pay straight away so thee is no unexpected bills each month. Its totaly safe. Although if you sell an item on ebay and you accept to be paid via paypal, they charge you a % to do this, not usually much but be aware.

No, it's not dodgy at all, first of all you have to bid on the item you wish to purchase or it may have a 'buy now' price, before all this you must register with paypal, enter all your information such as whether you want it to come out through direct debit or your credit card and then go to ebay and set up your payment method which will be paypal.
Make sure the seller is not dodgy though, ask lots of questions before purchasing!

I use paypal and have had no problems. You set up paypal through ebay and they will put a few pence into your account to make sure it's genuine and then get you to tell them how much so that they know it is yours. The money for things you buy is taken from your account when you say so and appears on your statement as a direct debit. The payment is then put into the recipient's account by paypal on your behalf. That way, you don't have access to each other's bank details.

PayPal is very secure and not dodgy at all. What happens is you click tp pay for it and Paypal will come up. You choose how to pay for it (Debit Card, Credit Card, Taking Money out of account) It gets transferred into that seller's account and that's it. Your done. Any other questions e-mail me

Paypal is sort of an online bank backed by ebay. You pay them by credit card and e-bay pays the seller. The seller pays the paypal service fee - the buyer only the purchase price plus shipping. I have used paypal hundreds of times and it is totally safe.

whenever i want to buy something....anything.........the first place i stop is eBay. check the seller's feedback. i usually only buy from someone who has multiple pictures and in depth explanations (whether i know about the item or not), rather than an item that has one photo and a short sentence. i have had about 100 purchases and i haven't been burned yet. purchases include some risky ones like baseball tickets left at will call in a different city where i was vacationing.
take your time to look at the product. you need to inspect it and their descriptions to get what you want. if you don't spend the time you may end up getting something flawed or mis-represented.

You can either pay by e-cheque which takes 5 days to clear out of your account, direct payment from your account or credit card which clears more or less straight away or you can pay by direct debit to top up your paypal account so that you always have some credit there.
Very useful I just wish more companies would use it

you do no longer would desire to have money on your paypal account to pay for some thing with it, they are going to take the money out of your checking account or out of your credit card (whichever you choose). i've got self assurance in case you had to deliver somebody money you need to pass money into the paypal account for it, yet different than that i'm uncertain there are different motives to.
