I must admit, at 55, and being a person who is always listed as "unaffiliated" rather than supporting a political party, that I always like to take a look at indiuvidual candidates at all levels and learn as much as practicable about them and their positions before casting any votes one way or the other. I have voted both Republican and Democrat in my lifetime.

But taking serious stock of the looney left that has taken control of the Democratic Party in the last few decades -- and seeing it only get WORSE! -- I am just going to vote a STRAIGHT Republican TICKET this time! I have never done such a thing before, but just am sick and tired of arrogant, hateful, distorting and insulting LIBERALS. Whatever it takes to reduce their numbers in this world I am henceforth willing to do. Enough is enough!

If ever the Democrats -- or anyone else -- put up decent and sensible people who aren't trying to make the U.S. weak and serving the UN, or acting haughty, I may support them. Not now!

Congress has become a haven for the career politician, and that sort of politician is always bad no matter what party they are in. These people both Republican and Democrat think nothing of skipping a day of voting just so they can say they didn't vote for a controversial issue. It's all about family values, supporting the elderly, working for the common man, taking care of our planet, and keeping our borders safe If those aren't the vaguest words on the planet they are a close runner up. NO politican is worth the spit out of the mouth of one of those men fighting overseas, and frankly I think we need more statesmen.

There is a HUGE difference between a JFK liberal and the liberals of today .
Like you , I was raised a democrate During JFK's time .
JFK believed in the American People , The CONSTITUTION and the BILL OF RIGHTS .
He saw government as a tool of the people , not people as a tool of government .
Starting with Lyndon B. Johnson , this changed for the worse .

Today's LIBERAL believes in POWER .
The people have become a tool of government .
GIVE ME YOUR VOTE , I'll support ANYTHING you want .
Want sex with 13 year olds , Fine.
Abortion on call at government ( taxpayer ) expence , wonderfull .
DUMB down the schools so your moronic , lazy little brat can pass , Sure thing .

Want to see where LIBERAL SOCIALISM gets a country , look at France . They can't do anything without consulting the UN and a crystal ball .

Our friend from the UK would be suprised to know that in today's world, JKF would be considered quite conservative. You're absolutely right--the far left's idea of America is a "Socialist-Collective-Utopia" . They want to strip parents of their rights to raise their own children (it takes TWO PARENTS- NOT a village). They want to take "freedom of expression" to mean you can do or say anything (unless its deemed 'racist' which is anything a conservative would say) even if 80% of the country finds it offensive. So long as the few have their 'civil liberties'. The ACLU is re-writing the laws without voters approval by finding loop holes in existing laws making legal what is found repulsive and unthinkable by most Americans. The Socialists are dangerous to America.........the Socialists are a danger and they need to know unless they move more to the center--we will NOT vote for them.

If given a choice between being poked in the eye with a sharp stick and the unknown, I'll take the unknown. The Bush regime is fascistic and degrades everything that ever made me proud of being an American. Greed, torture, cheating on elections, needless war, arrogant strutting before the world. It's not likely it could get much worse. I do not affiliate with any political party either. But out of patriotism, I'll have to vote straight Democratic.

Your "question" isnt supported by a single grain of fact or logic. It smacks of partisan game playing.

How would electing Democrats hurt this country? Under Clinton this nation was thriving, with a budget surplus. A victory in Kosovo. Rising income across the board. We were respected around the globe. Now look at us. And dont criticize Clinton regarding Lewinski...Republicans today are willing to look the other way when Bush conducts illegal surveillance, holds prisoners without trial or legal representation, and outed a CIA operative for political purposes during a time of war, aiding and abetting the enemy...his actions are a lot mroe agregious than Clinton's little trist.

Even top Republicans are saying Bush is wrong and its time for the Republicans to go. Dogmatic refusal to listen to alternatives is what got us where we are today....and it sounds like you want to "stay the course"...I fear for the union if the Republicans stay in office.

Uhh...yeah. Nothing like being arrogant, hateful and distorting yourself. You dont even know me and I dont think you really understand what you are saying. I am very proud to be a hateful arrogant liberal if it means putting the environment over corporate interests & American lives over corporate interests. Why dont you educate yourself a little and look at who you would be supporting if you voted Republican. Republicans dont care anything about you, the environment , people in general, the bottom line is and always has been money. Why dont you read up on the harm that the Bush/Reagan/Bush administrations have caused in society, other than increasing profit for large corporations. You speak like a true Republican anyway.

Someday these people are going to have to answer to their makers....how is Geo Bush the born again Christian going to stand before his maker and explain what he did and why? Remember, money is only money, you cant take it with you.

It's sick and getting sicker over there on the loony left! I'm hoping the Libertarian Party takes hold in the next couple of years. They are closer to my views, personal responsibility, less government,

After asking myself if I wanted a change in America or if I wanted "business as usual" as it has been over the last eleven years with it fraud, lies, bull$hit, corruption, etc. I decided to vote straight Democrat!

I did not feel that it was my duty as an American citizen to protect the Pedophiles like what the Republicans have done!

Bush should definitely get an award! He has to be the biggest BullCrap artist that America has ever seen!

What is it that you don't like about liberals? You referenced the "arrogant, hateful, distorting and insulting" personality traits of these 'liberals', but the same thing could be said of conservatives. So what is it that makes them so hateful?

<>

My point was, if you are providing any corroborating evidence as to why you're convinced liberals are so bad, then you're not really asking a valid question. If you want to expose your views that's great, but do it somehwere else. This site is (in my opinion) a place for honest debate, for questions and answers, not for using it as a platform to ********* about something you don't even qualify by giving any real facts to support.

I LEFT THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IN 1988! I SAW A SWING SO VIOLENTLY TO THE LEFT THAT I CHANGED PARTIES! THEY WERE ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE AND YOU COULD SEE IT COMING! THEY RUINED THE UNIONS WITH THE RANTS AND BACK STABBING LIKE NEVER BEFORE! THEY USED OUR UNION MONEY TO SUPPORT THERE CAUSE AND JUST PISSED IT AWAY! THEY WERE GREAT AT MAKING YOU FEEL LIKE THE VICTIM! NOW WHAT THEY WANT IS FOR CHILDREN TO ABORT THERE BABIES WITH OUT PARENTAL CONTROL! THEY WANT CONDOMS FOR PRISONERS! PELOSI WANTS THE AGE OF CONSENT TO BE 13 SO NAMBLA CAN SCREW LITTLE BOYS AND GIRLS CAN BE RAPED IF THEY SAY IT IS OK! THIS ISN'T MY OLD PARTY! SOMEONE HAS TO DRAW THE LINE!
