Thinking about off season and when weather is milder.

I don't think I'd take a 2 year old personally, but I have a 3 year old cousin who's been there 6 times already. (My aunt and uncle are members of the Disney Vacation Club, and they go ALL THE TIME). I just got back from a trip there and while I was there I saw a couple with 1 month old twins, and another with triplets that couldn't have been more than 4 months old (plus the second couple had 3 other kids). All in all, the decision is up to you. The first time my brother and I went, I was 4 and he was 2. If you're worried about carrying them around the parks all day, more power to you, but I'd take a stroller. Disney rents roomy ones, but they are kinda pricey. I'd just get a cheap umbrella stroller at walmart or whatever. If you have no plans to use it after the trip, just trash it on the way home.

Probably not. Been there done that.

A 2 yr old cannot ride many of the rides which YOU will want to ride. They are too short. So you will end up having either yourself or your wife sit with the child while the other one rides the 'good rides'.

This is not to say that the 2 yr old will not have a good time. Make sure they are potty trained and can walk, other wise you will be dead tired by the middle of the day.

Certainly carry them to the gate from the car (hold on tight during the tram ride), but rent a stroller when you arrive in the Park..
Both you and the two year old will have an infinitely better time, no matter what time of year you visit.
Enjoy!

i have a three year old and we go to the parks all the time, for most of the time she is on my shoulders,(she won't go in the stroller anymore just my luck)so take a stroller or hire a disney one (probably cheaper to buy one from walmart )carrying becomes very tiring even in the milder conditions. But even at two the magic is .........magic,have fun(check out playhouse disney at mgm)

Two is too young. Disney is HUGE and a lot of walking and standing in line. We did it with a 3 year old Feb 2005 and it was a long day. I would recommend waiting at least another year.

I would carry them into the park, then rent a stroller for the day. Not much of a cost & it is a saviour when the child tires and wants to nap. Not to mention, you can get pretty tired if you plan on carrying them around all day.

if you live close to Disney World you could carry the two year old but if not then you should drive or fly. which ever way you decide to get your two year old there, mild weather would be your best bet. especially if your going to carry the two year old there.

Not really they have lines even in summer that are two hours long just to get in. Think about how cranky a child that age gets in the store after just a few minutes. Now stretch it out to 2 hours in 95* heat without a bathroom.

Think about how many adults get cranky in those conditions.

I think it's too young. We took my son to Magic Kingdom for the first time last December when he was two and a half, and all he was really able to enjoy were the playgrounds. That's a lot of money to spend for a trip your child won't remember and for rides he or she won't be big enough to ride anyway.

You will definitely want to bring a stroller, its a long walk even for adults. Remember, you will also have all the extras (diapers, juice, snacks) to carry also.
