My Southern Italian boyfriend is tan skinned with caucasian features and black curly hair. Why do people assume all Europeans have to look like Brits or Swedes?

lol depends from which part of europe one is. I'm from southern europe and i'm not pale. And we don't look the same either. I don't think a lot of people think that all europeans are pale and look the same.
