hit Linda? I read in one of the answers on Yahoo, that tapes of Linda saying this, are coming out. Why would she have made tapes?

I don't believe it. It's just a case of lawyers and soon to be ex-wife wanting tons of money.
I hope the Linda tapes don't put Paul down. She always seemed the most loyal wife. That would be horribly sad for Paul. I've been a huge McCartney fan most of my life.

From all I've seen in my lifetime, anything is possible. You would be surprised at what goes on behind closed doors in many people's homes, celebrity or otherwise. Why she would makes tapes of her saying this...I don't know. If she made tapes of his abuse, however, I can see why. She probably figured no one would believe her if she didn't.

I go out of my way "not" to read that crap. I don't "personally" believe it, but it's none of my business either. Just like that whole scene with President Clinton & Monica Lewinski. I really didn't need to hear all that, and true or not, the people who splashed it on the front page of the newspaper, are just as bad as the story
