Not all men are bad at house cleaning :) My husband and I have taken turns at being the major bread winner so at various points it has fallen upon him to clean the house. Quite frankly, left on his own he did a better job than me! :)

i believe that when people are growing up, your parents take you under thier wing. moms take the daughters aside, and teach the things that women were responsible for to make the house run smoother. 50 years ago, women didn't really work, thier "jobs" were taking care of the household. sons were taken aside and taught the family "trade". today, things are different. women have outside jobs and now and house chores SHOULD be split between the two adults, and/or children. i don't believe men do a deliberate bad job, i just think women have thier own idea of clean, and it differs from the same idea that men have.

Some women are bad too you cannot tar all men with the same brush - although I must admit my husband isn't that great. He will offer, and will make an effort but it's never as good as when I do it myself. I think they are clever and, as you say, some of them may do a bad job on purpose - why not, some women might do the same if things were reversed!

Come on, girl! Don't be like that. You know, it's all about priorities & negotiation. U think a clean house is important, maybe your bf thinks otherwise. Make him understand it's important to U to live in a clean house. Tell him you both live in the house and that u need him to help you. Then talk about who does what. Not so romantic maybe, but a good relationship is all about telling him what u need. (and visa-versa!) Even if it's about housecleaning.

The answer is because they hate doing it, so they try not to do good at it, so women tell them to stop. That way they get out of having to clean at all.

I do my share and a good job. You need to be looking at this when you are looking for perspective husbands girls. If junk is left around my house it is in the trash. If not in it's place then it's not needed.

Then girl why don't you team work & teach him exactly how you want your home cleaned .Continue until he is cleaning with you all the time.
My sons were like this but I just keep on teaching them how I prefer them to clean the house.
My husband is a neat freak .sadly my sons didn't inherit this.

Men are NOT bad at housecleaning, they just want you to think they are! They can do an equally good job.....it's just like pulling teeth, to get them to do it.

my husband does a better job than me at housework OR maybe i let him think i can't do things, he comes over all protective, takes over the task in question, leaving me free to watch the tv with a cup of tea. ah bliss.
