OPK...does your LH level rise gradually?Only people who know please.?

Question

I am on my first round of clomid and it is now day 13. I have been using an ovulation predictor kit since day 10. I have saved all three tests so far and I see that "My" line has gotten alot darker since the first test. Does this mean I am ovulating? Does it get darker gradually? Or does the LH surge come on suddenly?

FYI I want to know if the LH goes up GRADUALLY, or all of a sudden. Mine is getting gradually darker. TOday is the first day I seen it real dark, but not as dark as the test line, and I did not have intercourse yesterday...I want to know basically if I missed it or what.

LH - or the hormone that causes the follicle to release the egg - does rise gradually. Estrogen is the hormone that triggers the rise.

It is a slow rise that ocurs over a period of about 4 to 5 days and you will see the lines on your OPKs get gradually darker. The best time to test is around 2pm in the afternoon after 4 hours of nil fluid by mouth and nil potty visits.

On the day that you get your positive OPK - the test line will be as dark or darker than the control line. Baby dance like bunnies! Ovulation should occur within 24 hours post-positive OPK.

The best way to see if you're ovulating is to chart your BBT (basal body temperature) and your cervical fluids and use your OPKs as additonal information. You're possibly fertile within the 4 days prior to ovulation.

Off the subject again, from lanes mommy 's mother in law. I cant beleave they would give you points for leaving a comment about someone you dont know are dont know anything about. My daughter in law is the best wife and mother I could have asked God for. And your question on here is about fertility drugs , I can only pray that God allows you to grow up and not to steriotype anyone in life from young mothers to military men that you have no clue about, before he blesses you with a child. yes your temp gradually goes up then you will get a dark line to match the test line then you have either ovulated already or you will be ovulating within the next 24 to 48 hours good luck

Anything I've read about fertility in the past indicates a sudden change in hormone and temperature as ovulation occurs. I've linked to what I can find to help ya out.
