There are women out there that continue to ovulate and have their period while they are pregnant and so it follows that if a woman ovulates then she can theoretically get pregnant even if she is already pregnant.

It is extremely rare, but the best chance of it happening is if two ova are fertilized at different times in the same cycle. This can also lead to fraternal twins from different fathers if the mother is sleeping around.
