Well putting dietary causes aside as the exclusive cause of flatulance as other posters have mentioned, the other cause is hormones...(for both). Certain birth control pills can cause either an increase or decrease in sex drive. Being pregnant and the rush of hormones and increased blood supply to the pelvic region also usually will cause increased sex drive. Certain hormones that rise near ovulation or prior to your period starting increase your sex drive, and also, progesterone, a hormone, causes pelvic relaxation and slows the digestion of foods, and this can result in flatulance..which can be especially evident with certain types of birth control pills or pregnancy as well.
