Well the ancient egyptians themselves must have been embarassed about their skin colour, because in egyptian scripture and hyroglyphs the majority are represented as tan or olive coloured.

That may be so......but does it matter if they are wrapped in bandages for most of the time ?
Accuracy in films like these are always suspect anyway - thats why any American film of England has us all drifting around with floppy haircuts (like Hugh Grant), living in thatched cottages, quaffing mead or cider, while languishing in the corner of a sunny field in the shires watching a game of cricket.
