It is going to be tough because the GF will always wonder if he is cheating on her. Why did he cheat....was his marriage over, or did he just see the Gf and be a dog about it? That will make a large difference. Did the GF come on to him?
The age difference doesn't bother me, but the rest of it does.
You said "moved on'....do you mean he got a divorce? If not this will never work. By the way, people stay married for many reasons....the fact that he was "married" for 24 years does not mean that he and his wife were happy for 23 years and he suddenly walked away....so there are many variables with this.
good luck....and remember to do things together and you will grow closer together.

I would normally say if he cheated once he will cheat again but, lets face it, he has a 21 y/o girl in his hands. What more can a cheater wish for? Being a pedophile? Cheating has to do with sex. He's in that world now and won't leave it for a long time. Maybe never. Don't hope that he will die miserable and alone, hope that you will find true love and happiness. One other thing, I've noticed allot of people on this site recently wondering about different sex drives. You may want to focus on that kind of man that is closer to yours since it appears your husbands was just a bit higher than yours and had to go looking elsewhere. Not pointing the finger, you deserve to live in your own comfort zone.

He is 42....she is 21! She will get tired of him before the water gets hot, as the old saying goes. She will throw him to the curb pretty soon. My only problem is.....do you really want him back after the pain, and disgrace he has put you through? If you do, and you're willing to forgive and forget, then sure, you CAN work it out! I was married 25 years, my ex did the same thing, only he was 29....and that lasted a short while.....but I could NEVER forgive and forget when he kicked her out. If you can, he will be back before long....go for it!

if he has already cheated on the 24 year old, there is not much chance of this working, he probally thinks more of his wife, but blown it.

that depends on why the guy cheated in the first place. you need to be more specific.

That's too much of an age difference..most people will think she's his daughter......and we all know how women are......she's see an eye catcher of a guy in few years and realize she's tied to an old man......................................
