While applying motion path for an object in 3dmax all my object drawing positions were locked. Next time/after restarting 3dmax all my objects are effecting from center point of all 4 viewports. I checked path positions, mirror levels, toggle positions and preferences. Re installing is only solution or u have any option to rectify this problem.

Off hand (more details required, inferred guess referring to View or Path):

Path Editing.
- Starting motion path trajectory, timeline, locking object to trajectory, saving trajectory.
- If file size too large, save trajectory on another file and reference to the trajectory, not forgetting to link default file search path to the saved location of the savedpaths. Or;

Viewing.
- Objects nested on the centre point of all viewports is the default setting when launching sMax. View tools or equivalent (Edit View) and Define a customised view. Reset the cameras (if not already set up but not a requirement), Save as.. and so on, so that all your objects do not begin from the centre point. Or;
- It may be a function of viewing. Look around the screen for a lock symbol to unlock drawing positions. Or;

Editing.
- The object inserted is a primitive, then there is an "AutoGrid" checkbox to create an object using another one that has "ground" for it (using a grid). Or;
- Tool called "Align", well, for aligning thingees. It is perhaps not the easiest tool around.

Both should have a check box equivalent to unlock center positioning. Try individual selection and group selection to unlock center placing as not all objects are primitives.

As always, keep a work history to avoid reinstalling. Reboot required only unless working with a spider file structure where detection is too time consuming.
