India of course is a good place to find opportunities.
Nevertheles it is a personal choice if ou want to work in India or travel abroad. Contrary to popular belief, it does not have anything to do with patriotism.

The answer to your question:
Before taking any decision, please do a proper research. Enquire whether there is a requirement for your profile. As far as I know, There is a big Doctors and Nurse community, but they are facing problems after the recent bomb attacks. Also there is a good demand for SAP/IT consultants there.
You can apply for a UK visa on your own. i.e it is not like H1 viaz for US, where only the company for which u are employed can apply on your behalf. You can apply on your own for a UK Visa.
It is an expenditure of about Rs. 60,000 (Estimated figure, plese check).

London is very costly and you should have a degree recognised in London.There are good oppurtunities available in India nwadays better than London where there is still recession.
