my fella friend is always so mean, and i tell him he's mean, but he says hes not, and says im mean to him. he calls me fat, dumb, ugly, annoying, shallow, and emo. but im not any of these. i dont get it, cuz it makes me feel bad about myself when he says these things, but he insists that hes just kidding, but my friend and i agree he is really just being mean to me. im 15 if that makes a difference

Don't let anyone degrade you. Even if he says he is kidding. No, it hurts. Blow him off until he gets the picture. If you have to spell it out for him when he comes chasing after you, then by all means let him know..."I don't like the way you treat me." That is a sign of abuse, and if he is doing this because he 'likes you". Well, then he is too immature to be with anyway. When a man likes you, hes nice to you because he wants you to feel good about yourself and in return about him.

It's an abusive relationship no matter how u look at it, and no, age doesn't matter. We have what is called "Toxic People" amongst us and for some reason or another we allow ourselves to be bothered with them. This can be easily remedied by totally excluding this person from ur life or limiting ur time spent around this person. Just ask urself, does this person bring more positive than negative to my life? And since u've asked this Q?, I take it that there's more neg. than pos. At such a young age u are still developing both physically and mentally, as well as emotionally, and the last thing u need is someone tampering w/ ur self image. Do urself a favor and rid ur life of any and all toxicity surrounding u. If this person misses u, he will then modify his behavior in order to be let back into ur life. But u must make the first move.

Your 15 so I can understand why you're still friends with him. You're young. But you should never let anyone make you feel bad about yourself. You should let him know - firmly - that you do not like it when he says those things to you and that you want him to stop. If he does not stop, let it go. He's not a real friend if he doesn't recognize you're feelings and he's definitely not a real friend if he's constantly calling you call kinds of names.

maybe he is doing it because he is jealous of you and your boyfriend because he actually fancies you himself and thinks that ny being mean no one will notice how he feels about you.
he probably thinks if he is nice to you everyone will realise that he fancies you.
guys often do this to cover up how they really feel.
