Only with adult supervision, and if the kid is responsible enough to realize the danger in any activity like this and takes the proper precautions in that activity then yes. You need to take the quad away for weeks at a time if he does not listen to you or put on the front lawn with a for sale sign.

It's plenty safe, unless your kid is a total moron (just saying that jokingly).
Make sure he wears a helmet and boots. No sandals or shorts.
I've see children 5ys old, ride 50cc motorcycles with no problems.

of couse i did and im 12 but i think ill just stick to dirt bikes. they're are much more fun and aren't as dangerous:)
