I'm from England and I live in America, yes the healthcare system is bad if you don't have insurance, but you don't have to wait 6 months or longer for which sometimes a serious operation is needed like you do in England.
Americans are not hesitant about anything liberal as you say, they as in England have differing veiws on certain subjects, some people agree with gun laws, some don't, same goes for politics and everything else, I'm not sure about the school system as I don't have kids, but one thing I do know is that most young people I have met are exteamly polite and speak coherently.
As for American women being treated badly, now that is a joke, most American women will bust your balls if you try treating them badly, they seem to be strong minded and independent, but just like everywhere else it does happen.
The police are fairly straight forward over here, if they ask you to stop, you stop, no bones about it, they are in the main polite and helpful, but if you have other idea's about cooperating with them, then you will be in serious trouble for sure.
I think your question is a bit like the kettle calling the pot black ****, If I have to critisize Americans in any way, it would be at the way they work and the word "disorganised" is an understatement, but in general they have a much more upbeat outlook on life, I live in Texas so maybe its the sunny wheather.
England in many ways is too liberal, where in the world can you break into someones home and know that if that homeowner uses excessive force to protect his home and his family like he should, then he will also be convicted.
Most young people in England now speak like they are brain damaged in some way, so I find it strange that you pick at the American school system, need I say more???
(By the way I live in Houston, Texas ya"ll)

1st of all" liberal" does not equal " fair". I consider myself liberal because I believe that all people in America deserve the same chance to get a good education, have enough to eat and if thru no fault of their own need help, it is my and all Americans duty to help them. I, also, believe that no greater percentage of American men mistreat women than the percentage of English men. However, we are working on that problem by making it against the law for men to mistreat women. Does England have such a law? No one I know nor do I carry a gun. Yes, we have liberal laws on carrying a gun, but we are, also, working on that problem. Just because England has a strict law against firearms does not mean that you do not have murderers. I would like to know percentagewise of the population what percent of English people murder. You are watching too much telly if you believe most cops mistreat or bully. Police departments have internal investigations and when a complaint is filed, it is investigated. If a cop has a pattern of mistreating people, he is fired. Also, if the complaintant does not agree with the finding of the police internal board, he can file a lawsuit against the police and then it goes to a jury to decide if the cop should be fired. I do not believe that I want anything to do with the English universal healthcare system, your rich go outside the system and get prompt care, your middle-class and poor wait for months for surgeries, etc. I will agree that a lot of our school systems are below what I believe they should be, but we are working on the problem. I AM AN AMERICAN AND PROUD OF IT.

That is our right to be hesitant about liberals and we are fair to a certain point, Men are NOT allowed to treat all women badly or
they will have free room and board in a jail cell, the cops in this country are the best and they DO NOT go around bullying the citizens, and the USA has the best health care in the world and
we DO NOT want socialized medicine in the USA. BTW, what's with all of the cameras in your cities in jolly ole England, sounds
like you all are in 1984, the book with the title. If you have not read 1984, do so!!!!!!(Iam from the USA, by the way, and England is a beautiful country and I enjoyed Scotland)

We're all for fair, just not for socialism.
Liberalism believes that a person begins with and empty bucket of rights and that certain rights are given to certain people by the government. The rights that are given are only those that support the "common cause". Therefore your right of free speech is limited to only that which the government (run by the elite who have special rights) allows (e.g. is "politically correct").
Conservatism believes that a person starts with a full bucket of rights and that some rights are taken from the person by the government. The rights that are taken are only those necessary to protect another person's superior right. You don't have the right (i.e. Free Speech) to yell "FIRE" in a crowded theater because the resultant panic would endanger others rights (i.e. Life).

Man, you're just trying to upset people. You know this stuff isn't exactly true, right? Not everyone can carry a gun. We treat women better than 98% of the world. Instances of police abuse aren't really all that common. Universal health care sucks. And the US has a higher percentage of its adult population with college degrees than the entire european average (including specifically the UK). Go bugger yourself.

Goverment not the insitutuion to trust. Right to bears arms is great right it balance out the power of the goverment, and liberals problem is they think govt the is solution to every soical ill that is impratical. Conservatives sometimes too simiplistic when it moral issuses too much black and white thinking there. Its the cop that are abusive not the whole police department. America is great country we allow studipity, but we make you pay it for it too that is price of freedom.

Boy , have you been brainwashed !
2 things are true:
1. Health care , the majority of us don't want government running it
2.Education , the liberals have been running it for 40 years , the cost has gone out of sight and the standards have been lowered .
Meanwhile Englishmen are coming here in droves , to in joy our conservative freedoms .

America is a culture that is resists embracing adulthood.
I cannot put it more simply to you than that.
We used to resign ourselves to being adult about things. As if it were not even a choice. We were descended from your culture originally once, and had not evolved a culture based almost primarily on immaturity.
