1st- if the mother was living in both states and receiving welfare from both then yes, he has to pay both welfare systems. (i lived in 2 different counties but same state, and ex has to pay both systems back, i receive food stamps and medical for the child, now a teen)she does have to notify her caseworker (child support division, in writing) when moving to another county or city. so they can mail her these things.
even though he is behind the child support division takes out the money from his work paychecks(he has to tell his boss) he still pays whatever the total amount is until the child is out of school, i heard, that if the child plans on going to college then he will still pay, only when the child is out of school and he has paid all the back child support and current support then he is done.
he should contact his local child support divison(local welfare office will help) and they can help too. but as far as i know, he will have to pay both states if the mother lived in both states with the child. if she received and welfare from either state.

Find exactly which state the kids live in and are they by the same woman or different ones? Either way if it is by one woman or 2 women, he needs to pay child support. He helped make them so he needs to PAY child support. Is he in their lives ? If he ain't in their lives then HE NEEDS to step up to the plate and do that also, somehow. Children need their fathers even if the father is no longer with their mother. That's why some of these children are out here acting a fool. They have no father figure in their lives because their to 'so called" busy with other things that they think are more important then their own children. No offence to you but, they put new girlfriends before their children. I am sick of that !!! Encourage him to do the right thing.

No he shouldn't have to pay support in both states. Normally a second order of support voids the first one out. You will need to get a lawyer and have them make sure of it though. He does need to pay something though because he helped to make those kids and they need the support of both parents, not just one. If he is dealing with the OCSE then he should be able to call and let them know that there are two child support orders and he needs to know which one he is supposed to pay. He needs to get it cleared up as soon as possible though.

If he's years behind then he needs to be put in jail for awhile. The system is bad enough, and hard enough for "real fathers & dads to deal with without having "dead beat dads" driving up taxes to support there kids.

Just pay on one And to be safe the larger one. When he ws going to court to get the judgement against him he should of taken the order for the first one he had to pay. He just needs to go back to court and get one of the orders voided. Most likely the first one. That is if it did not happen automaticly.

Notify both states of the dual childsupport demand via certified letter.
