In legend they had their own agenda and morals that were mostly beyond human comprehension. They could be as likely to help as to harm, thought certain types prefered mischievious pranks or were even malevolent, while some could be helpful, especially if fed or otherwise bribed. Depends on the tales and culture they came from.

It depends. Some fairies are friendly but usually they want something from you. Sometimes they just get fun. Have you seen one?

The Fairies that come to visit me are always nice.They do tend to be very mischievous though. I love it when they sprinkle their fairy dust all around. Its so magical.
