steam your face over a bowl of hot water with a towel over your head for five minutes. this opens your pores.
then dip your face into cold water (this closes your pores tight) and pat (dont rub your face) dry with a towel. then moisterise with an oil free moisteriser.
do this twice a week.

Try splashing cold water on your face after you have cleansed it - that will 'close' the pores. You should also consider products which claim to reduce the size of pores. I know Clinique and Clarins do products such as these - they are pricey but you can ask for samples to see if they suit your skin.
It also depends on how old you are - at my age (41) large pores are just a sad fact of life...

Cold will shrink your pores. I would advise that you wash your face with warm water to open your pores and then cleanse. Then splash lotsa cold water on it. The cold water will shrink your pores and you would have gotten rid of any impurities that were clogging and enlarging the pores in the first place. Do not use extrememly hot water as that may even damage your pores. oh and do not rub your face. Pat it dry with a soft towel. good luck

This isn't a home remedy but I swear by it. Queen Helene's Mud Pack Masque. It is also great for pimples. Just dab it on the affected area and watch it disappear!
