Pictures of Matchstick Men by Camper Van Beethoven. It’s the best song if you like alternative/rock/southern/punk. There is a great rockin violin in it. The song is about not being able to get a previous love out of your head. He gets revenge by picturing her with matchstick men (which I take to mean shallow people with no substance). It’s such a good song because even though it’s about being heart broken, it’s not sad and sappy. It rocks and it’s funny - the kind of thing you need when you are heartbroken.
