I think if Hingis and Schnyder will join forces they would make a very strong team to challenge joint favorites Russia and Belgium especially that Henin and Clijsters are teaming up and Sharapova will be joining the Russian team nest season.

Martina Hingis and Patty Schnyder would make a really good team. But for the Russian team there are a lot more players like Maria Sharapova, Svetlana Kuznetsova, Nadia Petrova, Elena Dementieva, Dinara Safina, Anna Chakvetadze, Anastasia Myskina, and Maria Kirilenko. For the Belgian team the only two are Justine Henin-Hardenne and Kim Clijsters. Other teams that i can think of for the Serbian team maybe Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic. The American team the only ones that i can think of and are not to sure about it are: Lindsay Davenport, Meghann Shaughnessy, Shenay Perry, Jamea Jackson, and Vania King. But yeah the Swiss team would make a pretty good team if Martina and Patty play.

I can't find anything about her playing Federation Cup so far.
She and Schnyder will be a formidable team, but they would
be underdogs against Russia and Belgium.
