Well I grew up in an extended family (Brady bunch), it had it's moments, as 2 different set of siblings.
To me it taught you the value of sharing, compassion, standing up for yourself, and most of all humility, plus the xmas and birthdays gatherings were fantastic...
One wonders in a single child family if these values would be taught to the same extent I think not.
Even so as long as it is a caring loving family , what does it really matter, as long as you are happy n healthy....

No. Because a large family can't support children as well as a small one.

Growing up with the Brady Bunch looked good, so I wouldn't discount a large family.

it depends on the family it self i guess , i grew up in a big family (1 out of seven children) . And we had a lot of fun together also a lot of fights , normal ocurrence .
i have 1 child now and he will be the only child , as I can see it's easier for me to take care of one child instead of 7.
Which ever family you are born into , enjoy it and love them no matter what

I think it's better to grow up in a family that loves and supports you.

being the only child i grew up in a in a pretty norman rockwell-like nuclear family, i do not it think it makes a difference to me .i have a family of cousins that were like brothers and sisters.I and seen both get screwed up and had a big family, or be it the only child
i think it depends on the parenting skills who is bringing up the child

I'd say a large family, then you always have someone to play with, plus you learn to appreciate things more!

Eleven of us - great when young, great when old - not very good in between. From about 13 to 21 it was a mixed blessing but now that we are all older with children and grandchildren, it is excellent with many reunions, weddings, etc. The next stage, I suppose are the funerals................

We all love our kids! Nothing in life matches that love. Money gets in the way! Honestly, money does get in the way!
Raise a family you can afford

nothings better or worse. it depends on this person. also, its the whole nature vs. nurture thing. would one be different if they grew up with 4 brothers/sisters instead of 1. the answer is probably yes because each person affects you in a different way
