we are big aren't we? but then again the UK though you are an island you are vast to and have been considered one of the most powerful countries of the world your history is amazing and so are your people . its neat to me though that you actually cant sleep because of the size of America , we arent ruled by one man we have the senate, congress which actually the prsident answers to we also for each state have governors then the cities have mayors and chief of police so there actually a lot of people who keep our country running. we couldnt be cut up into chunks the land is connected so far that is how God designed us yes we are big but if you got to visit in some ways we are small to . just like yes you in the UK may seem small on the map but when i visited it seemed quite big and beautiful

I love the size of the US. It's home to almost every different landscape and climate in the world, each area has it's own culture and values, but all sharing the same language so it does not matter where you move, you can adapt. I move every few years. First texas, than Arkansas, then virginia, and now the mountains in colorado. From virginia to colorado was 1,600 miles, about 5 days of driving 8 hours at a time, it's one thing to look at the US from a map, but it's one thing to actually drive the country, driving for HOURS just to find out you haven't even left the state. People say the US has a LOT of people, but this country is HUGE, we aren't going to run out of land anytime huge. It's so huge in fact, sasquatches have even managed to live undetected in our vast forests.

First, a modest correction on your country's population: the UK has 60 million people, not 6 million. Here in the U.S., we have 300 million. Too many people if you ask me, but nobody did, so . . . So that makes the UK equal in population to California and New York combined, with a few million left over.

If you are concerned that the US is too big in geographical area, why are you not equally concerned about Canada and Russia, which are considerably larger than the U.S.?

If you are concerned that the US is too big in population, why are you not equally concerned about China and India, countries that have up to 4 times as many people as we do?

So I wouldn't lose any sleep over our size. After all, we're on YOUR side, mostly. Just don't make us angry. You won't like us when we're angry. Oh, wait, I'm thinking of the Incredible Hulk. Sorry.

It's not that big it's probably just that the UK is small lol. But really, not every state has the same or as much population as say, California. The USA is still only the third most populated country in the world.

even as I disagree with both, what's humorous is that there is so much better actuality and good judgment in Rev. Wright's sermon than there is in Falwell's. We do construct better prisons (look up the reformatory-business complicated) and spend massive quantities of money on incarcerating people. in the interim Falwell basically went on a hate tirade hostile to atheists, gays, professional-determination people, the ACLU and others. yet in hardship-free words the former were given the media interest.

AMERICA is so big because of land mass formations on the planet a long time ago. The UNITED STATES is big because we are the UNITED states. And, basically, we became the United States because a piddly little podunk landmass of a nation called Great Britain got the notion that these vast new lands were like . . uh . . .theirs.

Bought some from France, a little from Russia and Poof! A lot of land. If it makes you feel better, it's not all crawling with people. A lot of it is just empty land.

We got a lot of land, real cheap, from the French.
Google LOUISANA PURCHASE.
Oh yeah, and don't forget Alaska. Superimposed over the lower 48, it would almost stretch coast-to-coast.

We are not that big, heck Canada is bigger. We just had the land and decided that was the way we wanted to govern it. Of course American men in general are bigger which is why we are so popular when we travel.
