they keep showing the commercials with good looking food (strawberry cheesecake shake haha) in our area when there is no sonic anywhere near, but i think one might be built soon. is there food good? how does the ordering work? i hear it's unique or 50s style. what do you think about sonic?

Sonic is hit or miss. Some locations have great food and others are nasty.
You can either park your car and order on the menu there and they'll bring it out you. Or you can go through the drive-thru.

I am not a big fan of Sonic's food. They recently built one in my area and I tried it once and didn't really like it. I have not tried any of the desserts (which I have heard are good.) I had a chicken sandwich and my husband had a cheeseburger. Both were very big for the price we paid but were not that great. It wasn't terrible but I would much rather have a different fast food place. As for the ordering they have a drive through or you can go inside. Also they have these little sections you pull into. There is a menu and a speaker. You push a button and order what you want and then the waitress brings it out to your car. They are supposed to be on roller skates although I have yet to see that.

The food is ok; I'd rather have other places but my bf LOVES Sonic. Their drinks are good--you can add lots of different flavors of syrup to your soft drink or slushy. At the one where I live (Southern IN) you order from your car; there is no inside part to the restaurant and no normal drive-through. Some of the waitresses use rollerskates but not all of them do. All in all, it's just mediocre; there's a similar-concept restaurant in my hometown that's SOO much better! (If you're ever in Shelbyville, IN during the summer/early fall, you have to eat at Bear's Den. Mmmm...)

wow i love sonic! we have one right by my college and its one of the few dine in sonics! I love their burgers...they taste like good ole fashioned burgers...they are prolly terrible for you but all fast food is lol. Their super sonic cheeseburger is really good and the chicken sandwiches are OK...and their drinks amaze me. I usually get an unsweet raspberry tea cuz the raspberry flavoring makes it sweet tasting. I love their mozz. cheese sticks too and their ice cream shakes and stuff....ok so i really like sonic lol... i like how they now have in the pull in menus card slots so if you have a debit, credit, or sonic card...you can swipe it at the menu!

I love them for their limeades! The jalapeño cheeseburger is pretty good, so is their popcorn chicken, I like the tots better than the fries.
Ordering is easy, pull into a parking place, read the menu, press the call button & order. Can eat in your car or take it home.

No food is as good as it looks on TV. A lot of time goes into that perfect looking food. If their food was not good they would not be in business, that you can be assured. Fast food is good...but how good for you might be a better question.

Their shakes are wonderful and their bugers are better than McDonald''s . you place your oder eiher in drive thur or you park and hit the inercom button and place your oder. I love Sonic especially in the summer happy hour on drinks 1/2 off.

it is really good. not as good as it looks on tv but good. you can either park your car and order from a menu at the car or you can go thru the drive thru, or you can park and go and sit at the tables in front of the restaraunt and order from the menu at the table. some do bring food on rollerskates.

Some of it is pretty good. Their ice cream items (shakes, malts, sundaes...etc... are awesome. But their regular food isn't the greatest, it's just ok. They definately make the best soda's though...YUM and if you go between 3 and 5 they have happy hour. buy one get one free...
