well... a sphere is the compilation of a infinite number of tangent lines which are fixed distance (radius) away from a specific point...when we use math to define a sphere it speaks of the points that each tangent line touches another tangent line. A sphere has no curves. Therefore a sphere has no curved face it has an infinite number of flat faces.
