Just as anything else, the wall is a political move. It allows the GOP to say they are confronting the immigration issue without actually doing anything.
Ask yourself, why does the Patriot Act go into great detail about protecting our northern boarder yet never even mentions the southern?

President Bush has no control over what the next president will do. Most people support the wall and I'm hope full it will Be funded and built...

Our new age Berlin wall shouldn't be built, its congress not the prez that provides the funding and unless Bush decides to run for congress, he will have nothing to say about it

Unless congress changes it's mind,(which is what they more than likely do.) The Bill was passed and the fence will go up. one way or another. Just a suggestion...let the illegals build it as guest workers.

Bush will not have any authority to allow or disallow thge next presidents actions, Bush will be a private citizen and out of office.

WELL IF CONGRESS REFUSES TO FUND IT THEN IT WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF WHEN THE CONGRESS RELEASES THE MONEY FOR IT! THE PRESIDENT DOESN'T CONTROL THE MONEY,YOUR CONGRESSMEN DO SO I WOULD SUGGEST PICKING UP YOUR PHONE AND CALLING THEM INSTEAD OF WAISTING YOUR TIME ON HERE BLAMING BUSH! DO SOMETHING USEFUL!
