I'm italian I don't know exacly what you are looking for though, I was born and raised there.
Family traditions were that every Sunday we went to Church and every day at lunch time we had spaghetti with fresh tomato sauce and fresh baked bread then we rested until 3:00 pm which is when the stores open up again.
For Easter morning, before Church, in Sicily I remember as little girl, we used to wash our faces with fresh rose water petals.
Halloween over there is called Carnevale and it's different than here it happens in February you don't trick or threat you have a bag of confetti and there is a Carnival and all the kids dress up and throw the confetti . Roasted chestnuts, fireworks, etc..
Well that's some stuff to get you started.

each and every area of Italy has its own custom. As a northern Italian, in spite of the reality that we are on the brink of our family and we adore ingesting our solid meals, the 1st venture it rather is available in techniques isn't to consume and spend time with family. Seriuosly, my existence isn't so limited. when I have been given married, my family grew to alter into my husband, I spend maximum of time with him, on my own. this would not mean we don't care our mothers and fathers. seem for Carnevale, Christmas, 1th might...there are assorted Italian traditions. In northern Italy we choose going to journeys and experience being outdoors, choose for a stroll in mountain, for a bike to journey, or a stroll in the sea coast. i for my section think of that element spent at living house gazing television is a wasted time. that's the reason why once you first meet a northern Italian, he would not invite you over for dinner.
