I am 23 years old and now with winter setting in i'd like to find an indoor hobby. Never really played games, but think I could get really into something and enjoy it. Preferably something with a bit of excitement, fantasy, action, adventure, strategy - anything like that. And not The Sims please.

there are alot of girls playing this game and the time just pass by hours and hours like you never feel it

Well, online games are very few: World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, Lineage... A great game that is good for girls is Movies. You are able to control a production that makes movies. You get to choose actors, stage, even the title if you want. You can make your own movies too. It's fun cause it starts from the early ages when movies started so you make non-talking movies and it gets hilarious sometimes. You also need to take care of the Income and Outcome of the production. Your movies can compete among others and take prizes. There is an expansion pack called Movies: Stunts and Effects where there is a wide variety of costumes and the ability to capture fire, earthquake and police chasing scenes. It's very amusing. If you don't like the idea go for WOW cause it may seem boy-like but it has everything you asked and you can take an elf or other female characters.

I think you should look into games like Fable for the PC, Black and White 2, Myth, if you have a really good computer get oblivion and civilization 4. I have played all of these games and I enjoy them a lot. I personally play a lot of shooters/adventures- grand theft auto vice city or san andreas, Command and Conquer, I must warn you these games are very addictive, especially WOW lol, but they all provide tons of fun!

Get Desperate Housewives the video game (I think it's for your computer only). It's where you can play as any of the houewives and you have to complete missions with them and I think you have to solve a murder which is cool! Either that or the Charlie's Angels video game which is for a console (like Gamecube, PS2, etc.). Of Course, my all time favorite games (for the PS2) are Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2.

Pogo.com is really great if you want to play a variety of games. It's not in the roleplaying genre but most of the games require strategy and you can meet lots of great folks in chat.
