RAM memory is one kind, I guess you may have 256 or 512 mb of RAM.
Hard drive memory is a second kind of memory; as you're deleting software I guess its that kind you're short of.

- Burn photos and other files to cd instead of storing them on the pc, and delete them.
- Install Ccleaner. Use the Cleaner tool regularly. Use the Issues tool after uninstalling software. Let the program back up the registry when it prompts you; it will make a notepad file in your My Docs folder.
- Install Winpatrol and use it to stop some programs loading on startup. All you want to load is Windows and your security software.
- Defragment your hard drive from Start - programs - accessories - system tools - disc defragmenter.

You have a few options to increase the memory you have available

1) Go into your program files & delete the files left behind when you uninstalled. Many software leave some files on the p.c after it is uninstalled.

2) Go into your start up folder and disable the programs you don't actually use every time you're on the p.c (like the printer for example) You can start them when you need them.

3) Save your music & photos onto disk not on your hard drive.

4) Add some more RAM (if you're not techie minded a shop won't charge much for doing this).

5) Use a USB memory stick & keep as many files etc on that.

6) Run disk clean up then defrag.

Download and run Ccleaner from the site below
then restart

Download Spybot from the site below, get the updates, run, restart.

Press key combination Ctrl Alt Del to enter task manager. See how many processes are running. On my laptop I have 55. See if any processers are taking up CPU usage. When the computer is idle CPU usage should be less than 2%

You mean hard drive space. Memory (RAM) is different. If you did mean RAM then you need to go and buy some.
