That song is from The FLying Burrito Brothers. I used to have a LP of them.
The song is called To Love Somebody, and was before the clip Honky Tonk was played.
I am not sure but I think this song was from one of the members, his name was Gram Parsons.
Later on covered by serveral groups like thee beegees

Actually, I'm pretty sure the original is by the Flying Burrito Brothers. As you may have guessed, it's called "To Love Somebody" and comes from the "Dim Lights, Thick Smoke and Loud, Loud Music" album.
I could be wrong, though.
