Harvest Moon! (OMG such an addictive game) I love A Wonderful Life:) You are a farmer who searches for love and takes care of the farm :) The Sims :) (also addictive, I own all!) You make families and control them. Only one you can have kids is Bustin' Out though. Castaways and Sims 2 are my favorites (Rated T) Those are my absolute faves but I also like Guitar Hero and Super Monkeyball and Spongebob Squarepants: Lights, Camera, Pants!

You might try Katamari Damacy, it was a very fun, addictive, and simple game with very cartoony graphics, unique and interesting characters, and wacky sound effects and music. You just use the two control sticks to roll around a Katamari--which is basically just a sticky ball--and roll stuff up! You start small, with paperclips and thumbtacks and things like that, but eventually your Katamari will get so big that you'll be rolling up people, cars, houses, skyscrapers, and even planets in the sequel. The storyline is that the King of Cosmos has misplaced all the stars in the sky, and it's your job to roll stuff up to replace them. Visit http://www.gamestop.com/ or visit one of their stores, you can probably get a used copy for less than $20. Good luck!

If you can find Space Channel 5 V2 (the V2 bit is important) you'll be doing well, it's quite a rare game, lots of fun, and with patience very rewarding. Teaches hand-eye coordination (dexterity) and timing, something that girls are supposed to be better at than boys!

singstar - party if it's just for her, get the legends if everyone else wants a go - legends should be good for them too

dancing stage - megamix is the best, although i've never liked one enough to buy it

she might like the sims 2: pets aswell. if you don't play games yourself then i'll give you a word of advice - don't buy movie cash ins. they're usually mundane, derivative and get boring easily yet always get to the top of the charts because unsuspecting parents of children aged 5-9 buy them.
