What decides what day Easter is on, I thought I knew untill I looked back on my calenders and they were almost a month apart at one point... Could someone please clear this up for me? :) Thank you in Advance

It is the first Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox (March 21st). So Easter could be as early as March 23rd, and as late as April 21st.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe it has to do with the phases of the moon. Early calenders were based on the phases of the moon, and the practice has kept going determining when Easter occurs.

It's forty days (not including Sundays) after Ash Wednesday.
