I used to play Against All Odds by Phil Collins when I was dumped - it is so tragic.

Purple Rain by Prince always makes me shed a tear. The other song is by Luther Vandross - Dance with my Father, or Phil Collins - Against All Odds

Ok if you want romantic, calm and sad i would have to say one thing
1 Thing
Celine dion- My heart will go on
LOl no if youve seen titanic this song will be linked to it and trust me if you have a heart you will shed at least 1 tear in this beutifull, sad song.
If you feel more depressed download all of Celine Dions songs becouse they are all romantic and sad but thats if you want to cry. They are also nice songs to listen wiv freinds.
eg becouse you loved me (brilliant song) also by dion

Nights in White Satin by The Moody blues
or
Sorry has to be the hardest word - Elton John (not sure of title)
or take the opposite approach and sing Gloria Gaynor's I will survive - the tough time anthem.

Try Gloomy Sunday by Billie Holiday - Can't say it is that romantic but it is achingly sad.

Try "Thank you" Allanis Morrisette or slightly harder to find...
"It's not what you're born with, it's what you do with what you've got" by the very tallented Eddi Reader found on her album Mirmania. Well worth buying the album for that one track alone. enjoy
