What appeals to me is the Japanese emotion in the films. This emotion is derived from the culture itself. There can be a variety of emotions, including anger, honor, duty, love, and even humor. These different aspects of different genres are based from the Japanese culture that is different than the western culture. In particular, a culture based around honor is very intriguing to the west.

I like the different cultures in the Japanese movies. It's interesting to learn about what other people in this world do.

I have a few manga films, they're alright but I only bought them because my ex-partner was a fan.

I also have a few Japanese horror films, those I do enjoy.

NONE OF THEM HAVE SWORD FIGHTING IN THEM

EDIT

I like to get a good laugh from them . Last week I finally caught the sequel to the crouching tiger movie , oh god , how I laughed . they were throwing these daggers that would bend around trees and in mid-flight they would change directions , It was hysterical !!!
