My favorite color for a dragon is the traditional metallic green, just like in the fairy tale books.

Pretty partial to an Ancient Red Dragon, but I think the smaller, weaker Black Dragon just looks cool as hell

Hm... Sapphire, definitely! Just that word brings about memories of dragons, jewels, etc.
It reminds me of the book, Eragon, the Inheritance. The dragon on the cover of that always was beautiful to me and I love that color! :-)

I'm partial to little pink, a littler blue, a little red, a little green, a lot of orange, teal stripes and periwinkle blue on the nose. Purple ears, biege teeth, yellow tail, burgundy nails, black eyes, and lastly ecru underbelly.
As you can see I like my dragons to stand out against the crowd of those boring 70's ones
