I don't hear the US complaining about the Nukes that are in the possesion of....
UK
Russia
France
Israel
India
Pakistan
China

It's when a country run by a crazed dictator (ie Iran or North Korea) starts looking for nukes that we get mad. Notice that all the other nuclear powers feel the same way.

Stop pointing the finger at America. The whole world agrees that Iran and North Korea shouldn't have nukes...

Leader ship all the super powers have nuclear weapons to detour nuclear war , but the leadership in these countries have the maturity and common logistical state of mind to talk first reason try to understand and compromise prior to war, We in the United States Respect and beleive that every person in the world is entitled to their oppinion, and should not be punished or murdered or nuked just because someone beleives in different aspects than we do, If most of theese little third world countries were allowed to have Nukes They would be shooting them off everytime someone upset then or said something they didnt like, this is not something we made up it has been proven by them time and time again over hundreds of years, I mean look they dont even have nukes now and they want stop fighting for nothing what a country should goto war with another just because there choice of relegion? I dont think so, So the united states must keep nuclear weapons out of there hands. If they want to fight all the time we let them we just will only let them fight like the flintstones with SlingShots, pellet Guns and bottle Rockets..

Several countries have legitimate Nuclear arsenal, and the US heads this list.
but if many countries, especially countries with unstable regimes and tendency for dictatorships, will come to own nuclear arsenal, the potential for use of nuclear weapons in minor, local conflicts is growing, and with it the potential for a world war with multiple use of nuclear weapons, resulting in catastrophic damage to the whole planet.

Three words:
NUCLEAR NON-PROLIFERATION TREATY.
Read up on it. It's an agreement signed by several countries, the US being one of them, that NO ONE ELSE would be able to develop nuclear technology unless the other countries approve them. Period.
Of course, I think the answer that you're REALLY seeking is something like the first two. They're incorrect. Those are opinions. Mine is FACT.

its not o.kay at all neither for USA nor for anyother country...

since USA is the one who is acting as police man in the world. Now USA has the power to pressurize any country on the basis of their nukes.....all the other formal weapons are with every country now by the grace of USA. and this is the only weapon which few countries have....in all of them USA has the most powerful one to pressurise them to take concent on USA foregin policies and to keep hold on them if things not sort out by politically.

farkas is right on with her statement of "fact".
I would add that the United States behaves in a responsible manner, where nuclear weapons are concerned.
The world would be an utterly dark place, if it were not for America.

The same reason why gun control advocates like the Shumers, Feinsteirns, and others are themselves armed to the teeth , and have personal armed bodyguards, but want to exclude all others from the same priviledges they avail themselves.

Becasue we have be come the world's big bully, we don't want others unless they are on our side, to have the capabilities we posess, the Nuke Proliferation treay provides for controls however the US has a bad history where treaties are concerned, they made over 535 treaties with my people, American Indians and have yet to live up to one, people say thats past forget it move on, well then the same could be said for anyones personal history, oops my bad, would you trust an habitual liar? their lies are past history, move on? Would you let a convicted pedophile babysit your children, its only their past history, move on? The same argument applies to a country's word when they fail to honor their treaties!
