Trust me I am not taking "offense" (that is how you spell offense not offence) but some "young people" actually do respect themselves. Just yesterday (like every weekend) I went to church. But enough about me. Young people use vulgar language because they simply do not know how to let out their anger. Most teens are filled with hate and are angr at the world because there is too much pressure on them. They crack under all this pressure turning towards hatred and vulgar language. Ok and lastly I don't think you always doing "the right things" will encourage our teens to be more respect to the world.

Unmarried couples living together has nothing to do with lack of respect for themselves. I think it's good common sense to want to know how compatible you are with someone, before taking the marriage step (if ever).

Family is important to many, and church is simply a mythology class. People don't need church/religion to tell them how to live...we pretty much understand it's wrong to harm others, and we should live our lives the best we can.

Ugly language is just a poor way of expressing oneself...but they are just words...it's a shame more people don't strive for a better vocabulary, but vulgarities are part of many languages and I'm guilty of using them myself...

Hate/Anger I can't answer...I don't know if a lot of young people hate a lot of 'stuff' or are generally angry...perhaps they are...perhaps they didn't receive enough love and nurturing while growing up...or perhaps they are very intelligent and are angry at how the current crop of adults are running the world they will inherit...

I think what your saying is true and I think the lack of morals is due to the digression of the family unit. There are more divorces than couples that stay together. Mom's have to work full time to make ends meet which means kids are in day care. The lack of an old fashion family is the main cause to me. The kids today aren't getting the love and discipline they need at home.

This is an interesting take on life. If you read through history, some of the most noted scolars would comment that the youth "in their day" were corrupt, lazy, weren't following the rules, etc. Without exception these scholars would always say that civilization as they knew it would end because of these youths. Obviously, IT DIDN"T HAPPEN. It's interesting how when people get older they look at the past through rose coloured glasses. They do not remember scoffing at their elders comments about the current youths' beliefs, way of life, etc.

Please do not take offense to this but you need to get off of your high horse and start mending fences instead of trying to divide everyone (you're sound way to "pat robertson-ish").

I understand what you're saying, but think about the 60's & 70's. You know our parents & grandparents thought the same thing. It's just now days we have communication with so many more people and see so much more of it because of internet & tv. Can you imagine what the internet (Answers, chat rooms, groups) would have been like in the 60's during "free love"?

Well, as I have "lived and learned" Cant cast stones till you have lived in their shoes. But with that being said.... If people have love and trust in their hearts and souls, and no one is being hurt, fine. How do you know people that 'live together' don't have family or church there? people filled with hate? Well I would hope they find their road, and learn from it. Sometimes its easier to cast a stone, or even feel we are being ridiculed for having "traditional, family church values" But... if two people agree, two people love. then they are not hurting anyone. And Young? well young and old alike, because, although I am young at heart, I have lived half my life.

Sometimes it's just a phase of life that each of us had to go thru... Not all of us are blessed to have the support of family and friends. There are some who have to survive the world on their own with what and how they know best

Not that many people respect themselfs anymore. So many have
such low self-esteem. Very poor role models.

I wish only to comment on your use of the church in this question. What has the church got to do with anything? I am an agnostic who firmly believes that although all religions "preach" peace, they are also responsible for every war since they were invented.
