God does not have any Children, it was a hoax by The Pagan Romans and Jews to make the Christian Faith more accepted by the Pagans.

I have never heard that God has a child. I know that as a Christ follower I believe that once you have chosen to follow Christ, you then become someone who can call God your father and you enter into an intimate close relationship with Him. So in that aspect, yes He has many children. But as far as having biological children, NO He does not. God is a Spirit not a physical being, Christ is God who came down to earth in a physical form, and upon leaving left us with the Holy Spirit who now endwells those that believe and makes intercession for us on our behalf before the Father (God). All are three distinct beings, yet One God (Trinity). As finite beings, this may be very hard to grasp, however with faith and the help of the the Holy Spirit, you can have somewhat of an understanding of this. So to answer the question, NO God does not have any physical children, He is Spirit, and His ways are not our ways, nor His thoughts our thoughts. That's what makes Him God.

As for which is true, that's a personal matter. I have my faith and leave it at that. I think anyone who doesn't believe their faith is the right one ought to re-think their faith no matter what it is.
That said, I wouldn't say that God "needed" a son. He sent his son by choice. Now why he did, you'd have to ask HIm, in that I don't presume to have all the answers. However, hHe mentioned in Geneses that He would raise up a son in the 3rd chapter, shortly after the fall of man. Throughout the Old Teastament the prophets spoke of the son often.
The best answer I can personally give you is that (for the believer of course), God's son was the fufillment of a promise made millenia beforehand. God made flesh, and sacrificed on behalf of all mankind. I think it was more a matter of choice than need. I presume that God could have snapped his finger and made evrything OK anytime he felt like it, but who actually knows? Nobody.

God (Allah) says in Qur'an
{{They say: "(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten a son!
Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous!
At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin
That they should invoke a son for (Allah) Most Gracious
For it is not consonant with the majesty of (Allah) Most Gracious that He should beget a son
Not one of the beings in the heavens and the earth but must come to (Allah) Most Gracious as a servant.
He does take an account of them (all), and hath numbered them (all) exactly.
And everyone of them will come to Him singly on the Day of Judgment.}}}

He needs a child or we will have to rewrite the bible!!
It's all just a saga anyways, why worry about something so trivial! Take a look at the world and worry!!!! Even better try to do something...
Religion is only meant as a guide in your daily life, something to give you strength if you are too weak to face life!!!
