If your talking about rap and hip hop...DEFINITELY...it has gone the way of the sewer....how can anyone reasonably compare ...lets say..the ojays and fifty cent or busta rhymes...when i go into a store for example...do i really need to have my ten year old daughter hear shake that axx for me. after that piece of garbage clinton got into office, apparently character doesnt matter any more, but that doesnt mean it shouldnt.

Well I hope it has, music should always be evolving and changing, constantly pushing the boundaries. I appreciate what you say about disliking the way it has evolved, although obviously that's just personal taste, but there's loads of good music out there, new and old, if you look hard enough! Dance music is still a relatively new genre of music (assuming you're referring to electronic dance music which I think you are) and relies on technology, which we all know has gone crazy over the past few years, what was once only possible in a state of the art recording studio can now be produced by teenagers all over the world on a basic home pc, a good thing I think. I never liked 80s house music much anyway (acid techno or psy trance for me!) always thought it was a bit weak and poppy really, and I do like fast tunes, but there's still loads of people making quality dance music out there, you just need to find them! Oh, and loved your descriptions btw! And there's nothing wrong with "lewd" dancing pathfinder, dancing's always had a sexual undertone I think, traditionally, ethnically and now as well. Even ballroom dancing, think about it, male and female partners. Just 'cos we're sexually liberated now...

Take heart. It wasn't a lot different even as i became your age about fifty 5 YEARS in the past. I grew up in an ecosystem that lined a piano instructor for a mom and an Uncle who performed clarinet in both a Symphony orchestra and a Philharmonic orchestra.. so i became surrounded by technique of classical music.. i might want to sing the librettos from various different operas by technique of the time I as 8 and had to study English as a 2d language to my close by French. i became considered strange because I favourite classical music and Opera to the customary music of the day.. a minimum of it really is why i imagine they considered me strange. do not challenge about attempting to advance the "class" of the human beings round you... they are in basic terms a set of punters... so that you'll easily make your self chuffed

I think House much is going from strength to strenght, not as popular as it used to be but some of the Original DJ's from the early 90's are still pumping out some serious tunes...
Greg & Share are 2 lethal DJ's, if your ever in Ireland it's definatley checking out one of there gigs...your guranteed it's going to rain indoors...
Here get a little bit of this into you..

Well, let me tell you that in the fifties, the "in" and only dancing to go to was to do ballroom dancing.
And believe it or not , it was very popular. Notice that it may be coming back.
I live in the UK and go frequently to Texas. And right there, are a bunch of dance halls - all for ballroom dancing.
Yeppers for those great macho Texans.

Yes, dancing has changed a lot since the 80's, and I might add, for the worse. Some of today's dances are downright lewd.

dance music covers a wider range now and is just pop music that you can dance to. It has gone away from the experimental d.j stuff.
what next? cha cha cha? at nightclubs - all that strictly come dancing stuff!
