Sweden was given a choice of in or not. In the UK we had the choice of more Wilson or Heath. Traitor Heath took the UK into the European Economic Community without further consultation. After we had burnt many bridges we were given a choice of stay in or get out.

In the long run when these countries do catch up .i.e. factories and local business especially the trade.Im sure people would stay there infact being natural to human beings a lot would go back and build homes and improve their economy..
Most Brits leaving ..are following the sun..not because foreigners are coming to stay..Does one really think foreigners dont think of their homelands?British Teachers would go as they have always done and teach in underdeveloped countries..only these so called countries you are complaining about arent really 3rd world..
What you should be really saying is will we be number one .
It is each goverments perogative to catch up and fit in with the rest of europe..of course we are all in a hurry! I guess thats why we are the most stressed in europe..

Sweden's No to the euro almost certainly means that this will never become
the currency of the EU AS A WHOLE, which is a huge defeat for the
world-power ambitions of the EU integrationists.

it has just made the rich richer and the poor poorer
nothing in the middle
And if England are clever enough they will vote against it aswell

Maybe they want to keep their identity, and maybe they do not want to be overrun by foreigners looking for work like in England, I believe the Swedish social system works very well so I would think they want to keep it like that
