I've heard there are lots of health benefits to reflexology, so I'd like to give it a go. But does it hurt, or does it feel nice? And how much does it cost?

Reflexology is a wonderfully beneficial treatment, a form of massage to the feet, hands or even ears, the body is mapped out on the feet and pressure is applied which corresponds to the areas in the body, but you must commit yourself to one session per week for at least 6 weeks...after that your reflexologist should be able to advise you on how regularly you need further treatments. It is relaxing and pleasant but some areas can cause sensitivity, usually where you have an 'imbalance' in the body, the corresponding area on the foot will be a little tender, though not excrutaitingly painful. A treatment usually lasts between 45 mins and 1 and a half hours depending on what you are having reflexololgy for....you need to choose a qualified registered therapist who is insured to do these treatments, try the FHT webtsite for help in finding one...cost per treatment varies to which area you live in in the UK, I live in the Midlands and it costs £15 to £20 per session......ENJOY!!!!

Reflexology should not hurt if it's done correctly. If you feel pain or discomfort tell the person immediately. It costs about as much as a massage and it feels VERY good.
