Have you ever cooked water and burned it?

No -- the water boils away.

I remember a time when my father (because my mother had pneumonia and was hospitalized) had to take care of me and my siblings -- and he was a paraplegic from WWII. He tried -- he really did -- we told him to put the pot on the stove with water, put in the hot dogs, and watch the pot -- but no ... he decided after he started the hot dogs, then he would have us all outside to help with the yardwork. So when we came in ... needless to say the water was all boiled away, the hotdogs were burned, and the pot -- well, it was slagged, and we had to use several hot pads, put it in the sink, ran water over it, and threw it out.

I was boiling eggs one time and forgot about them.
I later returned to the smell of egg shells and eggs burning. The water was gone and the eggs had exploded!
It made a mess on the stove also...... I laughed!

Well, I didn't actually burned it but it got all over the freaking stove! That has happened to me once a week... It really sucks and pisses my mom off because there was water in the stove... :-)
