I am an Indian ( and a proud one at that ) but hold Spanish nationality. I took the nationality as I truly love the people and country more then any other except maybe India. The people are extremely freindly and will go out of their way to make you comfortable in their surroundings - though the Yanks do have a bit of problems being accepted because of their big mouths!

I live in Spain, and this will be my forth year. The culture is completely different in Spain. It may well be more family-orientated and friendly but in general the spanish people are rude and narrow-minded. When they talk to you, they sound rude and they have no consideration for anyone who tries be the least bit different. You could just be stood waiting in the queue to buy something and they will clearly look you up and down and pull a face. The girls also seem to be very bitchy and immature as well as they boys who also come across as very feminine. Overall, they arent very accepting of anyones cultures and dislike anyone who isnt truly spanish and look down on them. I'm sorry if I offend anyone spanish who may well be no Yahoo! Answers but the question was "what do you think about Spanish people?" and I have expressed my thoughts, which I deserve to express after living here (Spain) for so long. I understand that not all Spanish are the same, but the majority are...
** hey, forgot to add before... that I dont mean to put you all off spain or anything, but there is good and bad in every country and its just after living here i have seen more of the bad! Sorry again if i offend anyone!

I went to Barcelona for a week last May and found people very friendly and nice. It was my first time in Spain since 1969 and I'd certainly go back.

The women have enormous jugs. It's because the men drink a lot of wine and the women have to carry it around somehow.
They sleep all afternoon which is fantastic.

gortik is right,...i live in spain too...and here is what i have to say abt sapin.
spanish are family oriented..too traditionalists, extended families...friendly...etc
but most spanish are box or narrow minded, they are abit savage especially with their temper, they live in their own world, they can be very disrespectful to foereigners especially of African origin. they are very loud and have no manners especially table manners.
